VAINO’s SS25 collection challenged a simple assumption: why should structured clothing feel structured? The Heavy Interlock Button Down is the answer—a shirt that photographs like tailoring but moves like a second skin.
The interlock construction borrows from sportswear engineering. Two layers of cotton knitted together, creating fabric that stretches where you need it and recovers without memory. The point collar stays crisp. The chest flap pockets add military-inspired detail. The button placket runs clean and straight. Everything looks like the dress shirts you tolerate—nothing feels like them.

Heavy interlock isn’t a marketing term—it’s a construction method that changes everything. Standard shirting is woven: threads crossing at right angles, creating structure that fights your body. Interlock is knitted: loops interlocking with loops, creating structure that follows your body.
The 40/S yarn delivers refinement without fragility. The surface reads smooth and matte, appropriate for any context from boardrooms to evening reservations. But underneath that polish is cotton that breathes through humidity, gives when you reach, and softens with every wash while holding its shape for years.
